At long last, the book version of Thoughts on Translation is officially published. It’s a 150-page compilation of most of the entries that appeared on this blog from February, 2008 through January, 2012.
The entries are organized by topic and indexed; and if you read a post in the book and want to comment on it, you can find the live post on my blog and submit your reaction. Sue Campbell designed the cover, and I’m really happy with how it looks in print.
For the next 4-6 weeks the book is available only on Lulu’s site ($15.00). After that it should be on the major online sites, plus I’ll have a Kindle edition out as well. It always feels good to finish a major project, and this one is certainly no exception. Now I’ll be digging in to the final volume of the trilogy, tentatively titled Beyond the Basics of Freelancing and optimistically scheduled for release before 2014. Oh no! You missed the first volume of the trilogy? Better procure a copy of How to Succeed as a Freelance Translator!
Congratulations, Corinne! I can’t wait to read it – old fashioned as I am, I prefer a real book to a collection of blog entries on the web. Have you ever thought about giving a presentation about writing a book and getting published? I think that would be very interesting.
Have a good night! Marion

…great news, Corinne. ….!
Congratulations Corinne! I look forward to reading it.

Congratulations, Corinne. I still suggest “How to Succeed …” to budding interpreters and translators. Well done! Four years of writing were worth the effort.
