Her book, How to Succeed as a Freelance Translator, has sold more than 12,000 copies, and has become a go-to reference for the industry, now in its third edition. Corinne’s business courses for freelancers focus on the strategies she used to take her own freelance business from $9,000 in revenue in 2002 to the six-figure income she earns today.
Description: Many freelancers would like to work with direct clients, but quickly get overwhelmed by the array of marketing options to choose from. This “analysis paralysis” can lead to giving up on direct client marketing before you even begin. Starting with a simple strategy can help.
In this two-hour master class, we’ll look at how to use e-mail and LinkedIn, plus various search tools, to create a direct client marketing strategy that you can implement when you have as little as 15-30 minutes available. You probably already use e-mail and LinkedIn every day, and you’ll finish this class with new ideas on how to use small blocks of time to chip away at your direct client marketing goals. This class aims to help you find at least one new direct client in the next two to three months.
Live session (recording provided): Thursday, June 15, 12 noon – 2 PM New York time. Registration closes at 10 AM on the day of the class.
Registration: $75, including the recording
Past participants in Corinne’s marketing classes say:
-“I found your masterclass very thorough and highly informative without there being information overload. It was well paced and felt super friendly, I really appreciate you making an online class feel more like a face-to-face one with your constant interaction with the chat.”
-“Your class was so clear, concise and immediately actionable. It really confirmed what I was thinking and made my next steps much more concrete. I definitely feel a lot less scared now!”
-“Although I’ve been working with direct clients for a number of years, it gave me great ideas about potential new niche areas I might consider exploring both with my current clients and potential ones. It helped me see that I was already doing some things right, but that I need to be more consistent, not be afraid to follow up, and reach further afield. It was just the shot in the arm I needed.”
