Description: If you’d like to chart a different course for 2025, this two-hour master class will help you make a plan! The class is divided into two parts:
- First hour: Setting and raising your rates with confidence and clarity, using objective data. Most of us, particularly if you’ve only ever worked with agencies, aren’t “setting our rates” in any meaningful way. Instead, we’re working for what clients seem willing to pay, and hoping that it adds up to enough money to meet our financial needs or goals. There’s a better way! We’ll look at how to calculate what it actually costs you to run your business, how much you need to charge to meet your basic, mid-range, and ideal financial needs, and how to strategically raise your rates with both existing and new clients.
- Second hour: Now, where do we find these elusive “premium” clients. I decided to add this section to the class, because, when I teach the “deciding what to charge” portion and I emphasize that there are clients paying from two cents per word to $150+ per hour, participants always ask, “Where do I find those high-paying clients?” We’ll focus particularly on finding direct clients, with an emphasis on warm e-mail, LinkedIn, and client-side events.
Registration includes:
-Live master class via Zoom
-Recording provided after the live session
