Description: If you’re bilingual and looking for meaningful work that makes a real difference, medical interpreting might be your calling. This practical webinar helps you understand what the profession truly requires and which path suits your goals. We’ll cover the essential training, language proficiency, and skills you’ll need to secure your first position and serve patients effectively. We’ll explore the two main career routes: staff interpreter positions offering stability and benefits, or freelance work with agencies providing flexibility and supplemental income. You’ll also learn how remote interpreting (VRI/OPI) has expanded opportunities since the pandemic, and what to expect as you start out.

For those who belong in this field, medical interpreting offers the unique satisfaction of serving as the essential voice for patients navigating critical healthcare moments. This webinar cuts through the confusion to give you honest answers about training requirements, realistic income expectations, and actionable first steps. Whether you’re just exploring or ready to commit, you’ll leave knowing if medical interpreting aligns with your goals and how to begin your journey into this vital healthcare profession.
