Some coffee break links

First, check out the best article I’ve read on New Year’s goal-setting for freelancers: Walt Kania of The Freelancery on How to have a damn good year: advice from the renegade roundtable.

Second, although I usually think of myself as too nerdy to “rock” anything, I’ve been selected as a person who rocks the translation industry, and I’ve even been awarded the Rock Meter badge. Thanks to Marta Stelmaszak for a fun interview!

Thank you, Corinne, for agreeing to be a part of it! And paraphrasing a well-known slogan: “nerdy is the new rock”, at least in translation!

I think his first bit of advise is really sound:

First thing: Quit thinking about the year. Make it a really good day.

    Rock on!

I loved that article from the freelancery , I have always been quite bad with things like that , setting goals and then abandoning them , Now i set less specific goals , more like guide lines 🙂 and that works much better for me. It is a good idea just to be thinking about the now and not what is going to happen in the future.
