Book review: How to Succeed as a Freelance Translator

Judy and Dagmar Jenner posted a very flattering review of the second edition of my book How to Succeed as a Freelance Translator on their blog. In the spirit of disclosure, Judy and I are good friends, but we were fans of each other’s work before we became friends, so I trust her to be objective. I really appreciate this detailed analysis of the book, and of course “If this book is not the bible for freelance translators, we don’t know what is” is music to my ears!

Thank you! I didn’t see the review before Judy published it, so it was a really nice surprise!

You really deserve it Corinne! And Judy & Daggy are so generous and excellent professionals that I may imagine how flattering her comments mean for anyone in this profession. I bought at the ATA Conference and it is really great, every word of it. THANKS! BIG THANKS! for sharing, for sharing all your knowledge and expertise.
I can´t wait to read the new one coming soon!
    Have a great week!
    To your success,

    Dolores

My pleasure. It’s a fantastic book, and it is of course very true that we are good friends, but if the book weren’t any good, I’d gladly tell you. I’ve recently started teaching a class at UC San Diego (online Intro to Translation) and I recommend Corinne’s book over our own. 🙂 Truly great stuff.

Dolores: you will love the book!
