Coaching for freelancers

If you’ve looked at my online course offerings and think that working one-on-one might be a better fit, I have two options for you:

“Guide on the side” coaching

In response to requests from students wanting one-on-one help, I’ve recently launched a “guide on the side” coaching program. Please read the description below, then fill out the application if this sounds like what you need!

-“Guide on the side” runs for five weeks, on a rolling basis. There is not a set start date; I plan on taking approximately two participants per month, and you won’t pay until I have a start date for you.

–In week one, we’ll meet for a one-hour kickoff and planning call on Zoom (time agreed upon between you and me; I will record all of the calls for you). In that call we’ll set goals and I will send you a written writeup with my recommendations.

-Following that call, you will need to spend at least thirty minutes, five times a week, working on your action items for that week. For purposes of consistency, I don’t recommend combining these sessions (i.e. 75 minutes, twice a week) unless you know for sure that longer, less frequent sessions work for you

-I will set up a shared Google Doc where you’ll need to log what you’re doing, and you can also ask questions there

-In weeks two through five, we’ll meet on Zoom for 30 minutes each week (time determined between you and me; recording provided) to monitor your progress and rework your goals if necessary

–I’m generally available between 10 AM and 7 PM New York time, on weekdays. Times somewhat earlier or later than that will probably work, but if you’re on a completely different schedule or you are only available on weekends, that may not work. We’ll confirm this before you pay.

–The cost of the five-week program is US $460, payable before your first session

If this sounds like a good fit and you’d like to apply, here’s the link.

One-hour “pick my brain” session

If you’re looking for advice about specific questions in your freelance business, a one-hour question and answer session can help you get some clarity. I charge $175 per session, you send me your questions or topics at least two hours before the session so that I can do any necessary research for you, then we’ll meet on Zoom and I’ll record the session for you and send you a written summary with my recommendations. E-mail me at corinne@translatewrite.com to schedule!
