Starting on June 7 (early bird discounts through May 24, I (Corinne McKay) will be teaching a four-week session of Breaking into the book translation market. This is a course for translators who want to learn the business aspects of translating books for traditional publishers, small presses, or for self-published authors.
The class includes four lecture presentations, four question and answer sessions, (one hour each: recordings provided) and individual feedback on four homework assignments. Participants will finish the course with an understanding of how the book translation market works, how to find work translating books, and how to price book translations. Live sessions are on Mondays and Thursdays from 7-8 PM New York time, but participants who can’t attend the live sessions are welcome; you can listen to the recordings and send me your questions after you watch them.
Registration is $365 through May 24, $395 thereafter. ATA members, use coupon code ATA for $15 off; new students, use code NEW for $10 off; returning students, use code ALUM for $15 off (the ATA discount can be combined with NEW or ALUM).
